The Molift Patient Specific sling is a highly versatile, environmentally friendly disposable sling that protects patients in hospitals, nursing homes and other medical institutions against cross patient contamination or infection.
The Molift Patient Specific sling allows nurses and caregivers to assign a sling to an individual and specific patient for their patient handling and lifting needs during their stay. This isolated use of the patient sling reduces and controls the existence, growth and proliferation of any potential contamination between patients, providing a preferred hygenic alternative to traditional sling types.
Head support and padding for addtional safety and comfort.
The Molift Patient Specific sling is similar in design, shape and form to the multi-purpose Molift Easy sling, providing a more comfortable and natural environment for the patient whilst preventing any sliding or slipping during lift. The body and supporting leg areas of the Molift Patient Specific sling have a strengthened and reinforced padding which allows the sling to distribute patient weight and pressure evenly across the sling and reduce sling indentation which might otherwise pinch or create irritation to the patient.
In patient lifting and transfer situations where the patient is lifted from a lying position, such as the bed, the Molift Patient Specific sling provides additional support for the patient's neck and supports their head during the lift.

Contamination indicator promotes infection control.
Should the inside and patient area of the sling come in contact with liquid or fluids, the inner fabric will change color to alert the nurse or caregiver to possible contamination and to dispose and replace the sling immediately. Any contaminated sling should be disposed of in accordance with current contamination control procedures in order to minimize and reduce any risk of infection.

Maintenance
The Molift Patient Specific sling is not designed for washing or reuse. Molift recommend regular inspection of any patient sling, especially washable and reusable slings after washing. Always ensure to check slings carefully for signs of visible wear or damage, paying particular attention to seams, fabric straps and loops. Remember only to use undamaged slings during patient lifts.
