The Molift Basic sling is a multi-purpose 4-point sling, ideal for most every patient lifting situation. Designed to provide the same anatomical design and benefits of the Molift Easy sling, the Molift Basic sling is based around the natural curvature of the spine to provide a more comfortable and natural environment for the patient whilst preventing any sliding or slipping during lift.
Whilst the Molift Easy sling is a padded patient sling, the Molift Basic sling is not. This absence and removal of padding makes the Molift Basic sling ideal for use in situations where padding would otherwise make patient lifting difficult, such as lifting and transfer from moulded seats in wheelchairs or plastic comfort chairs.

The Molift Basic sling is able to provide correct positioning during every lift, whether in lying to sitting situations such as lifting from a bed to chair, or vice versa, the Molift Basic sling always ensures correct patient positioning to provide optimal stability and support. Through non restricting shoulder hoops that allow the sling to move naturally during the lift, the Molift Basic sling ensures a smooth and comfortable lift for the patient, free from sudden or abrupt movement.
In seated situations such as during toilet use, or when moving from chair to wheelchair, the Molift Basic sling can be easily locked into an upright position to prevent the sling from slipping. Whilst fully adjustable forward leg hoops allow for more reclined and rested positions to provide increased support and reassurance for the patient.

For patient lifting and transfer situations where the patient is lifted from a lying position, such as the bed to a more vertical and upright position such as a chair, Molift recommends Molift Basic sling with head support to provide added support for the patient's head and neck during lift.

Maintenance
Molift recommend regular inspection of any patient sling, especially after washing. Always ensure to check slings carefully for signs of visible wear or damage, paying particular attention to seams, fabric straps and loops. Remember only to use undamaged slings during patient lifts.
